ING U.S. Financial Services MBA Graduate Leadership Development Program
Program Goals:
Recognizing the need for players within our ranks led to the creation of the Graduate Leadership Development Program (GLDP). Essentially, the GLDP is a training ground for future core leadership positions. If accepted, you’ll experience a structured rotation plan, over four years, in which you’ll access key roles within the organization while handling a variety of business levels. During this time, you’ll also be exposed to different cultures and locales, so be prepared to travel! Positions will rotate among the following ING U.S. Financial Services locations:
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Denver, Colorado
- Des Moines, Iowa
- Hartford, Connecticut
- Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Minot, North Dakota
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- St. Cloud, Minnesota
- El Segundo, California
- West Chester, Pennsylvania
Criteria for Entrance:
To participate in the GLDP, prospects must have the following:
- Strong Academic Standing
- 2+ years work related experience
- Willingness to relocate
- A strong desire for a leadership career in the insurance and financial services industry
- The ability and drive to achieve a senior level position
Sample First Rotation
Strategic Marketing
The position will focus on strategic planning, market research and data analysis. The key outcome of the position is to drive the business to higher efficiency and profitability through results based recommendations, communication and successful implementation. Specifically: stimulating strategic thinking in support of business direction, providing strategic perspective through fact based analyses, leading project teams on strategic planning and analysis projects and playing a key role in formulating, preparing and documenting final recommendations to senior management.
Key responsibilities in support of this strategic planning role include primary and secondary market research, proprietary data mining activities, survey design and analysis, modeling, database design and analysis and advanced report and presentation writing. The position will require the ability to understand the organization’s various business models and needs, adapt to fast moving priorities, clearly and strongly articulate hypotheses and recommendations and develop implementation scenarios. Requires advanced knowledge of market research field.
